Overlake Farm welcome qualified volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering with youth, horses and/or farm animals, we would like to meet you.
Our programs are designed to bring people and animals together to build empathy, teach responsibility, and inspire hope. We rely on volunteers to help run our programs and serve the youth in our community. We love our volunteers and can't tell you how much we appreciate them!
We are looking for RELIABLE volunteers for regularly scheduled weekly positions:
-Horse care (horses )
Morning shifts. 8:30 AM for about 2-3hrs. Feeding breakfast, turning horses out, cleaning stalls, etc.
Evening shifts. 4pm for about 1 hour. Bringing horses into barn, feeding dinner, etc.
Previous horse or farm animal experience preferred. Must be 16 or older.
-Small animal care (sheep, goats, cats, dogs, etc)
Chores can be done anytime during daylight hours and take about an hour. Collecting eggs, getting fresh water, feeding, cleaning cages, etc.
Spend 2 hours once a week working with a young person in need doing animal and farm activities.
Must be 18 or older. Weekly schedule is set with mentor and mentee- usually after school and weekend days. This position requires a 1yr volunteer commitment.

All volunteers must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check, have reliable transportation, and be a committed volunteer.
